I've seen it twice already.
Terminator Salvation is indeed the storyline I've been eagerly awaiting ever since T2 Judgment Day. I cannot tell you the times I've watched T2, salivating over the opening sequence, longing, hungering for war with the machines. Salvation delivers that war in truck loads. The opening battle sequence alone had me peeing in my pants with joy. The action is hard hitting, fast paced brutal, exactly what we've come to expect from the Terminator series. The homages paid (beyond the use of the lines "I'll be Back" (which I've never understood why that one was so popular) and "Come with me if you want to live") to the previous films range from subtle to blantant and are creative in execution. Bale and Worthington are very good in their respective roles. Having said that, a few of the other actors (Yelchin, Ironside, Common) could've been done away with but that's just my opinion. The story falters in places but nothing to really cry about. I say that having read other reviews and I simply have this to say in reply: It's not T2. Nothing ever will be. Deal. All in all, with jaw dropping battle sequences, amazing speical effects, a decent storyline, it's more than worth the cash to see it. My one complaint, not really enough focus on John Connor as I think there should've been. But seriously, go see it if you haven't. It won't disappoint like other movies that promised awesomeness and brought only destruction to your childhood memories. *cough* Wolverine! *cough* Watchmen! *cough*

I felt like putting a bullet between the eyes of every Panda that wouldn't screw to save its species. I wanted to open the dump valves on oil tankers and smother all the French beaches I'd never see. I wanted to breathe smoke.
